Workers born in June can withdraw up to BRL 1,000 from pension fund

Workers born in June can now withdraw up to BRL 1,000 from the Brazilan pension fund`s s (FGTS) as of this Wednesday (May 18). Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) will deposit the money in the digital savings used for the payment of social security benefits.

Approximately BRL 30 billion will be released to around 42 million workers with the right to withdraw the benefit. According to the calendar released in March, the release of resources follows a schedule based on the month of birth.

The entire process to request the withdrawal is online. The worker does not need to go to the bank. The application shall be requested through the FGTS app using smartphones or tablets.

Most workers will receive the money automatically deposited in their CEF's digital social savings . However, in case of incomplete data that does not allow the opening of a digital , the worker will have to request the release of the resources.

Withdrawal

The funds will be available until December 15. After this date, the money will return to a linked FGTS , in case it has not been withdrawn or transferred to a checking .
