Alto Solimões National Radio Festival announces finalists tomorrow

Event also celebrates 15 years of the public broadcaster

Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões announces the winners of the Music Festival with a show tomorrow (11). The event will take place at the Amazônia Régia auditorium, in Tabatinga (AM), from 8 pm. In addition to the presentation of the ten finalists in the contest, there will also be a commemoration of 15 years of Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões . The creation date of the radio is next Wednesday (15).

The event will have a limited audience due to restrictions imposed by the covid-19 pandemic. The show will follow the health and safety protocols in force in the region.

In the program, live presentation of the finalist songs and the choice of seven winning categories: Best Music in Spanish, Best Indigenous Music, Best Music in Portuguese, Best Interpreter, Best Lyrics, Music most voted on the Internet and Best Fans.

According to the coordinator of Production and Programming at Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões, Miss Lene Ferreira, the festival is very important because “the opportunities and artistic spaces in the region are minimal considering the logistical difficulties and the appreciation of new talents”.

With the mission of valuing and opening opportunities to established and new artists in the region, and showing their productions and talent, the event integrates the languages of the border into cultural and sound rhythms that bring people together through unprecedented musical production.

Festival

Now in its fifth edition, the National Alto Solimões Music Festival is held by Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões , broadcaster of Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) , and brings together musical talents from the Triple Frontier between Brazil, Colombia and Peru. Unpublished musical works competed in the festival, which features singers, composers, instrumentalists and arrangers. Portuguese, Spanish and indigenous languages, such as Tikuna, set the tone for the songs that compete for a place in the selection.
