Rousseff proposes national dialogue in case she is not ousted
Despite the current uncertainties, Rousseff says, the government has worked “every minute,” and still seeks to meet its goals. 
President Dilma Rousseff said that, in case the impeachment case against her is defeated this weekend at the Chamber of Deputies, she will propose “a great pact” with all sectors of society in a bid to overcome the crisis and restore economic growth.
Despite the current uncertainties, she says, the government has worked “every minute,” and still seeks to meet its goals.
In a speech held during a ceremony at the Terminal de Contêineres, at the port of Paranaguá, in Paraná state, the president stated: “I will work everyday until the end of my term of office, on December 31, 2018. This is the commitment we have made to relentlessly fight the coup in the guise of impeachment with no crime, which they are mounting in the country.”
Rousseff also said she is sure Brazilians will be on her side in the impeachment vote. “We will win this battle against the coup, which is what a legally unfounded impeachment should be termed. As of next week, after turning this page, we will resume the work on the conditions to overcome the crisis and recover growth.”
According to the president, the government will continue the actions it has been implementing, and urge the nation to engage in “countrywide dialog, in every sector—not just the political one—including executives, workers, and everyone who wish for a better country,” she stated.
